The Biggar Puppet Theatre, in association with Caboom, presents an exclusive screening of ‘Shakes Versus Shav’ a puppet film directed by Damian Farrell and Gerry Hoban, featuring the voices of Colm Meaney and Derek Jacobi, and puppetry by Colin Purves of Purves Puppets, Ronnie LeDrew and Claire Roi Harvey.

The film marks the 75th anniversary of George Bernard Shaw’s final dramatic work.

In a knockabout Punch and Judy style, Shaw confronts William Shakespeare in a literary duel.

Featuring marionettes inspired by British puppetry legends Waldo and Muriel Lanchester, this is a unique opportunity to see these small puppets on the big screen at the renowned Biggar Puppet Theatre. Includes Q&A with the filmmakers afterwards.
